Hermadix Douglas oil is a sustainable product to protect Douglas fir wood. It is a water-based and environmental friendly oil, based on natural ingredients.

With the color Smoke White your product gets a fresh white color. The wood grain is beautifully preserved.

How to treat Douglas fir wood with Hermadix Douglas oil

Untreated Douglas fir wood should be treated twice the first time. Your product is sanded before delivery, so you do not have to sand it before applying the first coat. It does need to be sanded once before applying the second coat. You won’t have to wait long in between coats. On average the drying time of the first coat is two hours. The oil gets absorbed into the wood quickly. Hermadix Douglas oil has a maintenance free period of about 3 to 4 years. If you think the colour of your product is no longer nice, feel free to treat it sooner.
